Another classic being resurrected by Military Armament Corporation is the new MAC Knife based on a design known the world over for its use in combat around the globe. Originally designed to give troops serving in Vietnam a more modern knife for use in hand-to-hand combat, it went on to be extremely popular among troops during the conflict and beyond. Today the MAC Knife starts with a 440C blade that is ground and heat treated to 60HRc for a durable cutting edge that is easy to maintain. The aluminum handle features a matte gray finish with a subtle texture that blends well with the contrasting pommel and guard. Each MAC Knife comes with a military style leather sheath.

MKII knife
It's a great knife but much narrower than my actual MKii from the late 80's. I would not hesitate to get another but it's not identical.

Mac MK II Knife
Superb! This is the MK II I have always wanted! True wasp-shaped blade without the serrations. I believe the originals had a cat-tongue texture to the handle, but that is not a feature I am worried about as I micro-cord wrap my handle anyway. Also, no 15-degree cant on the blade, but again, not a feature I wanted either. I have purchased both Gerbers and clones (Valor) over the years, but I am deeply impressed with this knife. For the price, you better grab as many as you can. You will not find this quality and this pattern for this price anywhere else. I showed this to a few ex-military friends and they went berserk when I told them the price and they all said they would order one asap. I recommend this without hesitation! -Will-

I really wasn't sure what to expect some of the reviews were all over the map. Most of the negative reviews were about the sheath. I found the sheath to be an untreated quality piece of leather. Being untreated would allow it to take whatever dye you want, maybe that's why the left it untreated. Mine was hit twice with neatsfoot oil. Not disappointed with the sheath at all. The knife came about as sharp as a good letter opener. Fit, finish, balance, perfect. I am staying with a 5-star rating because a few minutes on a ceramic sharpener had this baby singing. I truly love this knife.
